Phat Khat - Feed Your Soul - Thamel - Kathmandu

https://www.facebook.com/Phat-Kath-123998437809500 Tucked away from the crazy tourist and traffic filled streets of Thamel is Phat Kath. Through an arcade between the shops you enter an open courtyard in the rear and follow the stairs up to the wooden verandah. The coin studded hanging lamps, currency collection on the wall, the different themed lounges-these make Phat Kath different-in a good way! The place is setup in a really cool organic kind of style using stone, timber, and wood. They have an indoor outdoor configuration. Indoors the wall is decorated in a very nice piece of art. Outdoors in place of an umbrella for shade that have a flowering tree. They have normal tables and those cool mini tables where you sit on cushions on the ground. The place has a very relaxed vibe about it, and they were playing this cool music which sounded as though it was from the 30s or 40s. It suited the place a lot! Having been here a few times now we found it the ideal place to escape the mania of Thamel's tourist trap and unwind. Regardless of how busy it is and where you choose to collapse you'll be mellowed in it's regae atmosphere of soothing music. We met the owners Mok and Sunil and from day one Sunil along with all the staff were full of positive vibes and took care of us throughout the time we shot there to make a short video for them. The staff were very friendly and cool. They had a wide range on offer. I would say hats off they have the best cheese balls in whole of Thamel at least… well I would go ahead and say, the whole of Kathmandu and Pokhara. They also had a good wifi connection. The kitchen is in the inside dining area, it was very clean. Now as for the drinks, the Bartenders are really cool and always smiling, playing music and making drinks. We would recommend this place for pre or post dinner drinks with friends or just somewhere to chill out and escape Thamel. We have been travelling in South East Asia and Asia for almost 17 Months and this place has made an amazing impression on us. We really enjoyed being there and filming the enchanted placed as well.. We will definitely make another visit here before we leave Kathmandu. Amazing job guys!!! How to get there: look (very carefully) for a small, floor-standing sign pointing into an alley off Chaksibari Marg. Phat Kath is on your right if coming from JP School Road. Pinnacle Samui Resort - Escape into the wilderness of your heart…

http://www.pinnaclehotels.com/hotelsite/pinnacle/samui/ we stayed in Pinnacle for almost two weeks while shooting and putting this video together alongside enjoying the resort and its people.. This place is just so magical – clam, friendly personnel, full relax. Didn't miss the breakfast a single day and afterwards enjoyed trying different food at the restaurant The people who come to this hotel are look just relax and it means more of smooth persons around you, no any night noise. The pool is beautiful and cozy and has a awesome place where you could look out into the sea. The massage and spa staff are just amazingly happy :) one of theme always decorated this set of flowers floating on top of water. The beach is nice and clean with a nice rocky view on the left.. ko phaghan island in front an open Samui sea side on the right. The beach is being cleaned every day, you do need to afraid to get any problems during walking without shoes. The house we stayed and the whole walk through maze is separate story, it's a garden for your soul! Green, green and green! With all this pathway going in different direction. The house was completely wooden and quiet big with a separate working desk, big enough for 2, a walking ward robe, a nice wood patio looking out in the garden with a sitting area, enough light and open glass window - basically its was a magical house in a soulful garden. Last but the most coolest were the beings there - from the sweet receptionists to the smily house keeping lady to "New" the head waitress to Mike the GM - he also is another story. Its always nice to meet and work with such people. Mike was so down to earth and cool guy with Moc the bird with him everyday in the morning and at times later too. He is one of the beauties of this place, hats off. Thank you everyone for your support throughout our stay at Pinnacle Samui Resort - it was wonderful. Lassie - Langkawi Animal Shelter & Sanctuary Foundation

http://www.langkawilassie.org.my The Langkawi Animal Shelter and Sanctuary Foundation is set-up to receive, rehabilitate and care for neglected, abused and needy animals. The organization also runs the Langkawi Island Animal Clinic – a charity project aimed at the sterilization of the stray cat & dog population. Both are non profit ventures, staffed partly by volunteers and aimed at improving the lives of unwanted animals. The Sanctuary aims for a no-kill policy and cares for animals whose age, disposition or disability make them unlikely to find homes. Many of our animals are road accident or trauma cases and therefore need special love and attention. These animals are given the opportunity to live out their lives with dignity. Stray cats on the streets – the main issue here in Langkawi – are trapped and sterilized, then returned to their normal habitat. In this way the Sanctuary hopes to control the stray population. An adoption centre is also in operation. Animals put up for adoption are spayed/neutered, dewormed and vaccinated. Any wildlife brought to the shelter are treated and once healthy are then returned back to nature. One of the centre’s objectives is to educate adults & children to ensure their peaceful co-existence with both their wild neighbours as well as domestic animals. An education programme with all schools on the island is currently being designed.
